207 AnonymousI would like to see prostitution banned. I dont beleive women become prostitutes out of their own free will but that they are compelled to do it for money or other difficulties. Also, men take advantage of this vulnerabilty and you are right this is an abuse on women by men.

213 Carol DouglasAs the recent TV coverage of the murders has shown, many prostitutes come from loving, caring backgrounds. Often, through no fault of their own, they simply fall in with the wrong crowd when young and end up on drugs. My song "Money from the satisfied man" was written from the heart as an avenue for the frustration I and many others feel about the situation. If the song can be heard by and help even just one of these girls turn away from prostitution, it would make me glad. I'm hoping the laws can be changed to make the demand illegal. 214 Anonymousit is simply appauling to see that in 2008 we still have slaves in this world let alone our country, the UK. I do not understand how is it that we call the UK a liberal country where equality, fairness and freedom of speech triumphs and yet still have a huge number of human beings being abused day in and day out and nothing is being done about it. Prostitution should simply be eradicated, we do not need it and the people who are fueling this industry by buying sex should be punished severely as they are recking too many lives and costing the society too much not only through taxes but also through destroying the lives of girls who otherwise would have done who knows with their lives and for the society.

218 Rachel KayIn my opinion, this law displays the considerable amount of sexim that stil persists in our "progressive" society.
219 Gordon J SheppardSuggest you refer to my email sent for the attention of the "Executive of Prostitution Reform" at 10:31 today. Subject: Prostitution reform and the murder of five lovely young girls.
220 danny coleI think you people are very naive and slightly stupid. The paragraph entitled "Why does this approach work?" is my main reason for my opinion of you. What you're proposing is ridiculous. You're not living in the real world. I suggest you try and give up your addiction to beaurocracy and stop trying to enforce your beliefs on others. There are many ways to change human behavior, your ideas are not good ones. I would love to know how the crime rate would be affected by the introduction of all these new "broke divorced husbands" you're proposing creating.

240 Anonymousprostitution as well as porn is wrong. it should be between two lovers. MARRIED!!!
241 LynneI 200% support this law I agree that the vast majority of women find themselves entering into postitution through no fault of their own. However, the situation in my area is that we have 2 occupants of a house nearby 3 schools. Who have been running a house of ill repute for some 2 and a half years. The customers to the home park outside other properites, although there is enough space to park outside or on the drive of the house of ill repute. The annoying part about all of this, one of the residents actually confronted one of the occupants of the house and was told two days later by the person in question, that he and his "worker" have been told by their solicitor that they are not breaking the law in carrying out a business of that nature from their home. This I find to be totally unfounded, as since I have done my research and discovered as first suspected, that if someone within the area complains or if said business is run from a home, is not licensed or near schools then they are breaking the law. I have been taking details down of number plates etc, however, why should I. Sadly, the couple in question have no regard or respect for those who live nearby and they truly feel, by their actions they have every right to continue to do what they are doing. I just don't know what to do to where to go. I am basically alone in this even though others in the community are not happy about this matter. This week they have been extremely busy ...................... I really dont know what to think anymore

247 Jessica PageAs i have seen prostituion first hand, by going on patrol with a vice squad in Bristol trying to tackle prositution and the men that use prositutes, i feel action has to be taken, more provision need to be made for women who are dependant on drugs, as well as women who are forced into selling their bodies by their 'pimps'.
