Prosecute the Police Officer in the city of Murphy, Texas, for shooting and killing a caged bobcat. He did this on August 17, 2011. You will find the story on WFAA.com A couple had obtained a cage for a bobcat in the area. They captured the bobcat and contacted the Murphy Police Dept. and asked the officer to relocate the bobcat, so it could live in the wild, where it belonged. Instead of complying with their request, the officer took out his firearm and shot the caged bobcat and killed it. In doing so the officer committed a state jail felony, specified in the Texas Penal Code Section 42.092(a)(2)(8)(b)(2)(c). This is a felong. The Chief of Police refuses to take any action against the officer. He called it a "mistake". That's all.
