Name: Mark Tobias on Feb 2, 2005Comments: I am 42 years old and have fished the Bolivar and East Galveston Bay area for the last 37 years of my life. I am a recreational Flounder angler and prefer angling for Flounder over any other species on the Texas Gulf Coast. I have definetely seen a major decline in Flounder in areas I have fished all my life and find it very disturbing. I have read many articles from Chester Moore and consider him a Flounder God and strongly support is Petition for Flounder. If I can help in any way to help support his cause, please let me know. Name: Sam Floyd on Feb 23, 2005Comments: My grandfather took me flounder fishing with him in the fall before I was even old enough to hold a rod, and he continued to take me every year until his death. I still fish the fall run every year no matter how fast and furious the speckled trout and redfish action gets. For myself and my family, flounder have always maintained "ultimate gamefish" status. There is simply no excuse for flounder not being listed as a "gamefish" in our great state of Texas. One day I hope to be able to take my grandson flounder fishing, the same way I was introduced to this "ultimate gamefish". Thank you so much for all of your work that you are doing for our flounder, and for us!State: TXCountry: USFlag

Name: Sam Floyd on Feb 24, 2005Comments: My grandfather used to take me flounder fishing in the fall before I was even big enough to hod a rod. He continued to do so until his death in 1998. I am 22 now, and still fish the fall run no matter how fast and furious the trout or redfish action gets. For myself and my family, the flounder has always held "ultimate gamefish" status. There is simply no excuse why flounder should not be listed as a "gamefish" in our great state of Texas. If I ever have grandchildren, I hope to introduce them to the outdoors the same way I was, through the pursuit of the "ultimate gamefish", and not through stories of "the good old days". The only way that this hope will be fulfilled is through the legislation enacted today that will enhance our flounder fishery for generations to come.State: TXCountry: USFlag
