Comments: Baby Boomers late 40's and late 50's 26% of our population. Baby Busters early to mid 40's Generation X mid 20' to late 30's Gereration Y mid teens to early 20's with the baby boomers getting ready to retire it will take most of GEN X and some of GEN Y to recover the jobs of the retires and most of the GEN X population does not have any type of degree. If our economy is going to survive we have got to step up to the plate and help it along. I feel it is very important to do what ever it takes not just for moms but for all who want to go to school to have a better quality of life of course working moms have to struggle the most. So dont you think it is about time to take care of all who have struggled and who want to go to school.

Comments: Ever since I left college the first time, it's been much hard the second time around. I now have a 16 month old and pregnant. I'd love to go back and get my degree but I don't make enough money to be able to pay for all of my financial obligations plus that of tuition and books, etc. I'd really love the help.

Comments: I believe that if someone is willing to take the time to better their life via education there should be money available for them. I feel that they should not have to go thru all these obstacles just to get and education, if the only thing that is holding them back is a little bit of money. If shouldn’t be this hard to finish school and then get a better job. With an end result a better life for their family and themselves. Not everyone has the time to sit and research for “free money” that’s a full time job on its own. Then to out that effort into this and not get the money at the end. How discouraging is that. The only option is to get loans and be in debt. How is that better I am now going to school, but now I have all this money to pay back in student loans. So the good paying job that I now have is more or less the same income that I began with due to the fact that, now I have an extra bill to pay each month. Is this really better….

Comments: I have exhausted all my undergraduate federal funding. I was in school online and doing exceptionally well and had to drop out because I had no more federal funding available. As a single parent of a 16-year old and employed full-time, I need to complete my academic studies. The financial plan that is available (at some schools) is your within my budget. I realize single-parents are not the exception, but when you are the only income provider in your home, and all avenues have been exhausted, there should be more funding avaiable. If "no child is to be left behind", then how can a parent lead their child, if you are not in the leadership role. It is imperative to set the example for others to follow in your life.

Comments: Education is something every person should get the chance to explore and persue no matter their age, or family situation. The more help we can give people the better. At the age I am at I will do much better in school then I did as an 18 year old. As people get older and experience more life education becomes more important to them and thier lives.
