AIESEC is a global youth organisation that develops leadership capabilities through internal leadership programmes and engages students and graduates in international student exchange and internship programmes for profit and non-profit organisations. An initiative of AIESEC in Pune is 'Project Milaap'.
The aim of 'Project Milaap' is to facilitate the exchange of a student from Pune and Islamabad, with a greater vision of working towards peace and cooperation between India and Pakistan.
Since the 1947 partition of India, hundreds of thousands of lives have been lost on either side both to war and acts of terrorism, as well as the displacement of millions of people.
We firmly believe that the majority of Indians and Pakistanis – in particular the youth of today – wish for an end to all conflict and hostilities.
We therefore ask you to support us by signing this petition so that we can convince both the Indian and Pakistani Foreign Office to ease visa restrictions and to cooperate on further issues, and open the gates for exchange between India and Pakistan.
