    Comments: He is one in a million that would actually do a good deed and put his safety and life to the side... He deserves what he gave his students..... Life - which he will never get back. He was probably the only teacher who will give his students the peace of mind that they will be safe and now he's gone.

    Comments: Librescu has fought for freedom his entire life. In his last moments, he gave freedom to the youth he taught. Nobody in this country deserves this medal more than this professor. To deny him the medal would be yet another tragedy.

    Comments: To Whom It May Concern: Liviu Librescu, is a man with honor that served to protect some of our Nation's youth through the taking of his own life on a sad occasion at Virginia Tech University on Monday, April 16, 2007. He deserves the nomination and awarding of The Presidential Medal of Freedom. He fought all of his life to become what most people only aspire to be...a national hero. In his death he proved that action speaks louder than words, that he gave his own life to protect those under his care was important. He is well deserved of this honor.
