Connecticut residents routinely travel several hours to attend professional games in either Boston or New York, taking with them their hard-earned money.

UCONN is an annual attendance leader in women’s basketball and men and women’s soccer with routine sell outs in basketball and soccer.

The Connecticut Sun have continuously averaged over 7,000 fans per game and routinely selling-out week-end games.

Rentschler Field has shown itself able to handle large crowds including concerts, UCONN football, and the United States Men and Women’s Soccer teams. Rentschler Field would be an ideal location for a professional team with minimal investment in facilities.

The loyal sports fans of Connecticut are looking for a team to call ‘our own’. If a professional soccer team (USL Pro, NASL or MLS) was brought to Rentschler Field, I would be willing to purchase season tickets or routinely attend home games.
