Lets be honest, people; inside we are all the same - same bowels, same intestines, same heart....we are all human! So why should the subject of sexuality create so many problems? We live in a democratic country, with free speech and rights for all - yet despite recent legislation, way too often people who are gay or bisexual are often treated as second class citizens....people who, like straight couples, have as much choice as choosing their sexuality as they do choosing their eye colour. The gay marriage ban is, in my opinion, worthy of the BC era where ignorance prevailed, not 2012 where scientific research has gone above and beyond. People of Britain pride themselves on their sense of fairness, so how is it fair that gay couples cannot use the same term (marriage) as straight couples? How is it fair that they are treated as second class citizens in this modern world?? Simple answer is: it isn't fair. However the pro of democracy is that the people have a voice; So use it!
