به استحضار میرساند آقای سعید شیرزاد از فعالین حقوق کودک در ایران سه سال است که در زندان به سر میبرد. نامبرده سابقه فعالیتهای داوطلبانه در انجمن حمایت از حقوق کودکان، خانه کودک شوش، و جمعیت دفاع از کودکان کار و خیابان را داشته است و در این مراکز اقدام به کمکهای آموزشی، تحصیلی، و بهداشتی برای کودکان کار و آسیب دیده، و نیز ارائه داوطلبانه همین خدمات به کودکان مهاجر و پناهنده و همچنین اقدام به برگزاری کلاسهای مددکاری برای خانوادههای آنان و انجام کارهای حقوقی و گرفتن وکیل برای نوجوانان بزهکار مینموده است. سعید شیرزاد بار اول در تابستان ۱۳۹۱ در حالی که داوطلبانه جهت ارائه خدمات آموزشی، مددکاری، و بهداشتی در مناطق زلزله زده آذربایجان حضور یافته بود، دستگیر و نزدیک یک ماه در زندان بود. پس از آن در دادگاه انقلاب تهران به همان دلیل به یک سال حبس محکوم گشت و علیرغم داشتن حکم زندان، مجدداَ به مناطق زلزله زده برگشته و در آن مناطق مشغول فعالیتهای داوطلبانه و ارائه خدمات به مردم زلزله زده آن مناطق بوده است. پس از آن، در مناطق محروم و روستایی، در زمینه مسائل آموزشی و تحصیلی کودکان فعالیت داشته و حتی برای حضور در کمپهای آوارگان سوری در ترکیه و فعالیت در زمینه کودکان پناهنده نیز اقداماتی انجام داده است که به دلیل همان مسافرت به ترکیه، در طول بازجوییهای بعدی تحت فشار برای اعترافات دروغین بوده است. در تابستان 1393به دلیل همین فعالیتها و از جمله کمکهای آموزشی و تحصیلی به کودکان زندانیان سیاسی، بازداشت و بیش از دو ماه بدون هیچگونه ملاقاتی با خانواده، و بدون دسترسی به وکیل، در انفرادیهای بند ۲۰۹ زندان اوین به سر برده و در طول آن مدت بارها به اعدام تهدید گشته بود. نامبرده در حالی که بدون صدور هر گونه وثیقهای در بازداشت نگه داشته شده بود علیرغم برگزاری دادگاه، پس از چند ماه به دلیل پیگیری مشکلات صنفی زندانیان در حالی که در بندهای عادی زندان اوین به سر میبرد، به زندان گوهردشت تبعید شد و چند ماه در بندهای عادی و در بین زندانیان قتلی و محکوم به اعدام نگهداری میشد. وی، در حالیکه چندین بار به دلیل اجازه ندادن دادگاه برای گرفتن وکیل از حضور در دادگاه خودداری نموده بود، در اواخر تابستان، پس از ۱۵ ماه بلاتکلیفی در زندان و بدون هیچ گونه ملاقات قبلی با وکیل، محاکمه و به پنج سال زندان محکوم شده است.
ما فعالین سیاسی، اجتماعی، مدنی، حقوق بشری، ضمن درخواست از نهادهای بین المللی، از جمله دبیر کل سازمان ملل، گزارشگر ویژه حقوق بشر ایران، کمیساریای عالی پناهندگاه، صندوق بین المللی کودکان، و نیز نهادهای مستقل بین المللی و سازمانهای فعال در زمینه حقوق کودکان، میخواهیم که ضمن توجه به نقض حقوق کودکان و عدم وجود آموزشهای لازم شامل آموزشهای تحصیلی و مددکاری برای تمامی کودکان در ایران و نیز نبود قانون برای برخورد با ناقضین این امر و توجه بیشتر به این مساله، و تلاش برای احیای حقوق کودکان کار و آسیب دیده و نیز کودکان مهاجر و پناهنده در ایران، از این فعال حقوق کودک در زندان حمایت کرده و خواستار لغو محدودیتها با فعالین اجتماعی گردند و تمام تلاش خود را برای آزادی این فعال حقوق کودک انجام دهند.

We are bringing this to your attention that Mr. Saeed Sherzad the childeren's rights activist has been in prison in Iran for 3 years and he must be freed!
He has a background of volunteerism in the “Society for the Protection of Children's Rights”, “Shush Children House” and “ Center for Defense of Street Children and Street Working Children”. He has worked and supported these centers in areas such as safety training, education, and health care for those children mentally and physically affected by unsafe and dangerous conditions of streets. He has also helped providing voluntary services to immigrant and refugee children and their families, as well as creating classes to teach these families about legal proceedings and providing lawyers for juvenile crimes.
Saeed Shirzad was first arrested in the summer of 2012, while volunteering to provide assistance in health care, education and helping hands to the victims of Azerbaijan earthquake. He spent one month in prison.
Later, in the Tehran “Revolutionary Court”, he was sentenced to one year imprisonment for the in voluntary activities to provide assistance and services to victims.
He then later, went to help people in poor and rural areas, providing teaching and education for children. Mr, Shirzad even helped the Syrian refugee camps in Turkey was active helping children in refugee camp.
Actually, his trip to turkey and assisting children of political prisoners in their education caused him to be arrested again in 2014. He was held more than two months. In solitary confinement in ward 209 of Evin prison without any visitation with his family or without access to lawyers
During that time, he was repeatedly threatened with death. Mr, Shirzad was kept in custody and denied any bail even after his trial. After a few months, because he helped other prisoners in their day to day problems, he was transferred from “ Evin Prison” to “ Gohardasht prison” to serve time in criminal wards along with criminal prisoners. .
Because he was not allowed to hire a lawyer, he refused to appear before the court several times.
In late summer after 15 months Uncertainty in prison without a trial and without any meeting with a lawyer, he was tried and sentenced to five years in prison.
We, the social, civil and human rights seekers are urging international organizations, including UN Secretary-General, the Special Rapporteur on Human Rights, the High Commissioner for Refugees, the International Children's Fund, as well as international independent institutions and organizations active in children's rights to pay attention to children’s rights abuse and the lack of necessary education and training for all children in Iran and the moreover, lack of legislation to deal with the perpetrators of this and more attention to this problem must be addressed. We urge you, to please support Mr. shirzad, Address this urgent issue!
