Print Credits
We the Students of New College need to Print out our Work, our Exams and our Coursework. But at this time we are being prevented from doing this by the College. The College by doing this is breaking its own Learning Agreement. Just to quote a few from the college’s own Student Planner:
What you can expect from New College
High Quality Teaching and Learning experiences
(By being not able to print anything. It is making things very difficult for our tutors and is degrading the quality of our lessons and is preventing us from doing part of our lessons, so is damaging our education.)
A Learning Environment that is effective and supportive
I am not sure how effective an IT course is without being able to print out your workout or how effective a Photograph is without the paper, I would call this an invisible image.) (As for supportive, the college has not listened to us so we have resorted to this Petition.)
The College says that it has an equal opportunities policy, which is found on page 6 of your student planner it reads as this
Our vision is to have a College that enables all of its members to fulfil their potential and to have their contributions equally valued and respected. We seek to actively promote good race relations and to celebrate our differences. Therefore the college will not tolerate any from of behaviour or activity, which is discriminatory on any grounds.
But how can we fulfil our potential if we cannot do our work.
How can we have our contributions equally valued and respected if our contributions can never be created?
How can the college celebrate our differences if it treats everyone all the same?
We are equals but we are all individuals as well.
Someone who is doing 7 subjects gets the same amount of print credits as someone who is doing 1 subject. How can this be Fair or Right

This is where you can find out more about our campaign and track out progess what ever you do dont get walked all over stand up and fight for your rights. I will not back down I will stand so join me and be counted the more of you who sign the more we can change so stand up not just for us but stand up for your self as well you do not get any where if you dont do anything. |
