Name: Kara Nardone on Jul 28, 2008Comments: As a former female patrolman in Belmar I fully support the recall of Mayor Pringle. I was being harrassed by a fellow officer who purposely shot me and threw fireworks towards my head in headquarters while working a midnight shift. Now I have partial hearing loss in my right ear. When I went to Mayor Pringle begging him for help and to approve my transfer to another Department he dismissed me with a simple, "There's nothing I can do." He helped a few others in the Belmar Administration destroy my career. I know Pringle personally, and as a blond female I can say he meant every word he printed about toursists and females in his newsletter. When I worked in a full-time capacity in Belmar I looked forward to the summer. MOST of the tourists, especially those from North Jersey and Staten Island are good people. They bring a different dimension to the town. If these corrupt public officials new how to show respect, they would certainly get respect. I was born and raised in New Jersey, but a lot of my friends moved here from Brooklyn and Staten Island when I was in grammar school. These are some of the nicest, caring people who I've ever met and they come from good families. They would never shoot me or throw fireworks at my head like the COP, who has been a Belmar local his whole life. Pringle's actions lack tact, restraint and good judgment in relation to the public. If he is unable to present an image of personal integrity and dependability he souldn't be the mayor. He's created a stigma of Belmar that other people besides himself have to deal with. Tourists have the right to feel safe and welcome. How are they supposed to feel thinking that Belmar's population doesn't want them here. PLEASE RECALL MAYOR PRINGLE.Flag

His Main Street project has failed, about a month ago 2 people jumped 4 floors from a fire because the only ladder truck in the F.D. has been out of service for 2 years and last year he had someone arrested for ringing their bicycle bell too long. Belmar will be and always be a shore town,can't make it like Spring Lake or Sea Girt,because the money is not here. The guy has to go,been in office too long,and thinks he owns the town.Flag
