This change to block scheduling is negatively affecting many students and is opposed by the vast majority of students. For some students, the change has rendered a slight hindrance, for others however, the change has been disastrous for their intended course study, interfering with many students' college preparatory plans. In addition to college prep, many students' passions are being interfered with, robbing such students of electives they are passionate about such as music and theatre. The change in schedule’s benefits does not outweigh the negatives previously described. We ask that Gahanna Lincoln High School recognize that its students' education and passions are NOT being improved by this switch, and ask that they prevent block scheduling from going into effect. It is never too late to do what is best for the students.
