Today, teenagers spend more than 7 ½ hours a day consuming media – watching TV, listening to music, using the internet, social networking and playing videogames. This is according to a survey of 8 to 18 years old conducted by the Kaiser Family Foundation. This study also found a rise in time spent on mobile devices. More than three quarters of all teens own mobile phones according to a study conducted by Pew Internet. This is an increase from the 45% who owned them in 2004. We also belive that this is because there is nowhere to go for them to go out and do sports locally.
