Comments: Digitally signing this petition to support the exile and asylum of Chen Guangcheng along with his wife and kids to be sent to the U.S. The guy is a self taught lawyer, blind, and most importantly an activist whose sole intention was to make his native society better for the good of his fellowman, which cost him many years in prison and under house arrest. I felt that my country, who did not have leverage in the bargaining table couldn't do any better so they "threw him under the bus". The next best thing is countless people will take heed to this petition and do their part to give Chen and his family a better opportunity in the U.S.; if not a better opportunity then a life where a stable family life can be offered to him which the PRC and its local officials in Shandong province could not provide him or oppressed him from from ever reaching such basic rights. As our very own Statue of Liberty has stated, etched on a bronze plaque by the Statue of Liberty "Give me your tired, your poor...yearning to breathe free" it is my duty as an American, and an obligation to the elected for whom I've voted into office, to take this petition seriously; give refuge to Chen Guangcheng, his wife, and 2 kids.Flag -
