    Comments: My primary concern is the traffic. The traffic on Franklin Road South of Old Hickory Blvd and on Old Hickory Blvd is getting worse by the month. This project doesn't adequately account for improved traffic flow and needs to be reevaluated.

    Comments: NO NO NO to more apartments in Brentwood!!!! The traffic in that area is already a nightmare. Old Hickory road /65 is a nightmare to try and get on or off during rush hour. NO NO NO!!!!

    Comments: I sincerely ask that the Commissioners vote "NO" on the "Streets of Brentwood" project and do not approve the zone change that the H.G. Hill Realty Company and GBT Realty Corporation are aggressively and excessively pursuing. Please weight the concerns of residential citizens (like my family and neighbors in our neighborhood) more than those of investors, developers, or outsiders who think this is a great idea. Even though we do not have publicity firms, funds and resources to represent our interests, we do have you all -- the Planning Commission and Commissioners -- to protect our interests from the over-development of our immediate surroundings. Let's preserve the Brentwood we all appreciate.

    Comments: Traffic is the main concern, particularly Franklin Road from Maryland Farms to Old Hickory, which already is a traffic nightmare during rush hour. With more traffic pouring in from Maryland Farms, Old Hickory and Franklin (from the new developments), the congestion will only become worse. The highly congested traffic heading in to the Kroger shopping plaza, particularly at lunch hour with vehicles blocking the entrance attempting to turn into Chick-fil-A will also become much worse. This area of the shopping center was not designed for good traffic flow. I also do not feel that this many apartments and condos would be beneficial to our city and the nice small-town feel it currently enjoys. Towne Center will be a nightmare, not unlike the current situation with motorists attempting to bypass Franklin to cut through to Old Hickory and back during high traffic times of the day.

    Comments: There is already traffic congestion that is increasing at Old Hickory and going East toward Franklin Rd and toward the on ramp to 65. This project needs more study, especially for the increased traffic. We don't want to be like Green Hills.

    Comments: My 10 y old daughter and I have been saddened as more and more of Brentwood's greenery has been mowed over. I am still in amazement that the condos beside Office Depot ever passed through our council. We have wondered if these developers actually live here. The traffic is getting worse and worse. Please, please do not pass this rezoning. If we wanted to live in a downtown urban space, we would have moved there. Very sad this proposal has even gotten this far. What it is the song? "Pave paradise to put up a parking lot."

    Comments: the traffic at the corner of MF Way and Franklin Rd is already a bear. Unless you can life flight people in and out of this proposed "mixed use" space we need to decline the development. What happened to all of the sensible City of Bwood planning leaders that were insightful enough years ago to decline on what is now in Cool Springs, originally planned for this same area? I can only imagine that they don't live in the area and don't really care about the residents.

    Comments: Traffic is already an issue in the heart of Brentwood, I am really shocked that the commissioners would approve such an extensive build after vetoing a retirement center on Concord road because of traffic. This plan seems much more destructive with more of a traffic impact.

    Comments: I am concerned with the size of the project and it's effect on the community. Traffic is already a serious problem in Brentwood and will only get worse as the new Tapestry begin occupancy. Our streets can't handle what we have now and there's no room for expansion.

Brentwood City Commissioners and Mayor all responded in the most recent elections that they supported a minimum one acre, one dwelling zoning for Brentwood. 644 rental apartments in Brentwood is not keeping your word!
