Name: Joe Bottazzi on Jan 6, 2006State: NJComments: My family and I have personally experienced two major floods and a very close call in a period of six years. Each flood cost more than $25,000 in damages, not to mention the sentimental losses that are irreplaceable. How much more does the government need to spend in claims, before finally fixing the problem once and for all.Flag

Name: Phyllis Dillon on Jan 17, 2006State: NJComments: For too many years, the Citizens of Little Falls have been exposed to floods that could have been avoided if the Dual-Inlet Diversion Tunnel had been built. As each administration goes in and out of office, flood issues seem to be tabled or discarded completely. It is time, now, with a new Governor inaugurated today, who has stepped up to the plate to take responsibility of the State of New Jersey, to, once again, confront the politicians with the flood issue.Flag

They claim that the run off waters are not increased, but I can't believe that these projects don't effect the rate at which water reaches us in the lower basin.Flag

Name: Charles Carroll on Feb 6, 2006State: NJComments: Flooding seems to be a more frequent occurence in recent years. Last April we lost our furnace, hot water heater, washing machine and dryer. Our flood insurance was of virtually no help. FEMA offered a low interest loan, but only if we drastically increased our flood insurance. More needs to be done in the way of flood controls and with more meaningful help after a flood in the amtter of financial assistance.Flag
