We the undersigned citizens are either directly affected or concerned by the recurring flooding that exits in the Passaic River flood basin. Approximately 11 different New Jersey townships are affected by this flooding problem and have suffered devastating losses over the years. Recently, there have been 4 major floods in a matter of seven years. Two of these floods occurred within the same year, April and October of 2005. There are solutions to this problem, but all require state and federal action by our legislators. Various studies have already been completed by the, Army Corps of Engineers that offer solutions to the problem.
