The aim of this petition is to attempt to relieve poverty in South Africa by using the "tough love" approach. The (black) youth of South Africa (especially in poverty striken communities) have made it fashionable to fall pregnant in order to recieve the government grant for unemployed parents. This does nothing to alleviate the scurge of poverty in South Africa - in fact it inadvertantly perpetuates poverty as these youths become dependant on the grant system, living from hand to mouth and then passing this mentality to their children too. Furthermore, these youths lose faith in themselves and end up in a vicious alcoholic cycle.
