I actually sat down at my desk and stared at the screen for ten minutes because the city finally committed to those protected bike lanes. It feels totally surreal that we actually pulled this off and now people will finally have a safe way to get around without worrying about …
We, the students of Digital Harbor High School, want signatures in support of improving transportation in Baltimore City. There are many people living in poverty in Baltimore City who cannot afford cars. We feel the public buses are dirty, slow and unreliable. We also feel it is unsafe to ride bicycles on the city roads. Do you support creating roads that run North/South and East/West throughout Baltimore City that are only for biking and walking?
I honestly never thought this would gain this much steam when we started talking about it in the hallways between classes because it felt like such a massive thing to ask for in a city like ours. It is wild to see so many people actually agreeing that we deserve better ways to get around without worrying about the traffic or how unreliable the buses are.

Too many cars on the road and nobody pays attention to bikes anyway. We need dedicated lanes BAD.

It is so hard to get anywhere without paying for a car. This would help so many people in the city.
