    Comments: Having been burgled 4 times in 4 years and regularly hearing gunshots in the public housing down the street, I am really fed up and scared about crime in our neighborhood. Something must be done.

    Comments: thank you; i believe that foot patrols and drive-bys could target some of our tougher spots (identified in various neighborhood emails) will be a helpful deterrent; also believe officers should respond with interest and attention when observent residents point things out like persons peering into windows of parked cars etc.

    Comments: There is constant theft, drug use, and prostitution at the end of my street. I question the safety of this neighborhood for my 2 young children.

    Comments: I have been followed by a black man about 5.8" with short dread locks to my house - he is scarry and I worry for my safety and that of my 2 small children. PLEASE HELP US!!!!! This guys is all over our neighbourhood scaring people and comitting crimes.

    Comments: I am worried about all the current criminal activity on Potrero Hill, as my 3 year old goes to both pre-school (Starr King Elem) and share care there (20th/Vermont). I used to live on 20th/Rhode Island) and more than once felt threatened. My car & house were also broken into numerous times. Please do something about this. You have a deeply concerned community who is willing to work with you to make it safer to exist on Potrero Hill.

    Comments: It is a large concern of mine that if we don't take some aggressive action that our neighbourhood is going to get alot worse. We need more cops driving around.. We need protection in our play grounds and we need to know that we are all safe... Potereo Hill is such a beautiful neighbor hood with a major crime problem... Lets work together and make our neighbor hood safe place for us and our families.

    Comments: The McKinley Park Located at 20th Street and Vermont is a Gem! The neighborhood has worked very hard to preserve and protect this park. We need more police patrols at night to stop the drug use, needles in the sand, drinking and late night thefts to stop. We also need to require Builders to light and secure their jobsites to discourage theft and vadilation. Recently, the crime rate on the Hill at 20th / Vermont / San Bruno has increased dramatically. We have had two job sites located at the top of San Bruno across from the Community Garden in the past year with little or no lighting as well as unsecured job sites. This is not acceptable. Just as you would not leave the door to your home or a liquor store open at night with no survailance, lighting or people-- builders should not be allowed to leave expensive tools, lumber, ladders and dris tempting folks to steal and vandalise.

    Comments: We have two young children and our nanny has experienced scares walking on the Hill. Please have more police patrolling Potrero, especially during the hours of 10am -3pm around McKinley and the new park on 22nd & Arkansas.
