There are times when the show truly excites me , and there are times when I feel my attention waning . But there has never been a pairing that has been able to enthrall me , and capture my affection the way Jason and Elizabeth do . Ever since the show revisted the couple's connection in 2006 , missing an episode of GH has become unthinkable . Even during the years when the characters didn't share screen time together , I always wondered what could have been . Steve Burton and Rebecca Herbst are immensly talented . Their attraction , and their bond is palpable . Though they seemed mismatched , I couldn't help but to be taken in by their amazing chemistry from the start . I remain hopeful for this couple's future . I also hope that Jason , Elizabeth and their fans get the love story that we have been waiting close to a decade to experience .Flag

Name: Joie on Jan 4, 2008Comments: I was delighted when I realized that a large group of GH viewers were captivated by Elizabeth and Jason almost 10 years ago just as I was. It was even more amazing to learn that I wasn't the only one who passionately wanted them to be re-united. It is unique and rare for such a large number of people to be so taken with a character/couple that they are dedicated to them for years...even when their storylines don't intersect for great lengths of time! This is reason alone to give this couple substantial screen time. Screen time is not enough, however. A solid storyline is also necessary. So far the storyline with Elizabeth and Jason has been a vicious tease ending in dashed hopes and dissatisfaction for the viewer. All GH characters and storylines need to be treated with more care. I have no doubt that those who speak against Liz and Jason do so because they are Sam fans who are offended with how Sam's storyline was ruthlessly altered the way Elizabeth’s was years ago. Since there is no strong, recurring content for Elizabeth and Jason currently, their chemistry and history will have a tough time drawing in new viewers and insulted Sam fans. As a result no one is happy. This is easy to fix. If the GH writers practiced more balance in spreading out the spotlight for the cast then there would be less grievances. Since this show is on for one hour, 5 days a week this should not be a problem. Balancing the screen time of GH characters will not only continually progress a number of storylines (instead of always leaving some storylines/cast out in the cold) it will also make for a happier and bigger audience. Until then I (along with many others) am on the verge of leaving a show I’ve been loyal to. Better-written and more frequent Liason scenes are the way to secure my presence.Flag

I have really enjoyed the story of Jason and Elizabeth and was disappointed when the writers decided to take a different direction so many years ago. However, this time I am very excited to see the story played out and I hope the writers will decide to treat LIason's story with the same amount of creativity, respect and length of air time as other couples have had.Flag
