Schools are operated by Tax Payers and therefore, we should know what is going on. I want to see Current School Policies and every parent should be mailed these policies and they should also be posted on the School Website and the website should be constantly updated with current information.

I also think there should be standard policies in place for bus infractions regardless of who you are, who your parents are, what your race is or if you have a child with special needs. If a child has special needs to the point where they can't fall into the standard bus policy, they should be on a special needs bus.

I also think parents should be kept in the loop on a regular basis. I often hear parents say that something changed or happened and they knew nothing of it. This has to stop.

Bullying comes in many forms and has to stop. If it means hiring someone to monitor the kids at all times when they are outside, so be it. Remember, bullying comes in many forms and can leed to the worst outcome, suicide!

Another big issue is with notes being written incorrectly for a child to be dropped at a location other than their own home. Calling the school and asking someone to write what you tell them can easily be written incorrectly. FAX your signed notes to the school so school faculty can't be blamed for errors or send a note with your student a day before if possible.

There are several ways that positive changes can be made without confrontation but everyone has to work together and common ground has to be found. It can't be all one way and expect to please everyone.

I'm trying to help parents that complain to me but won't do anything about their concerns.

Sign the petition as ANONOMOUS and write your comment. This way all concerns can be addressed but nobody will know who wrote them.

Come on folks, I'm trying to help you but now you're hiding behind the curtain and that isn't being part of the solution, it's being part of the problem.

LET'S MAKE THINGS BETTER FOR ALL OF US IN AND OUT OF SCHOOL.
