Name: Monika Gold on Mar 4, 2007Comments: A MAX line to SE Portland is crucial for traffic controll and success for local commercial ventures. I used tolive in Hollywood District prior to moving to Sellwood. I used to take Max several days weekely; now I drive or bike to work which is in Beaverton.

Name: Monika Gold on Mar 4, 2007Comments: We need MAX for traffic control and local commercial success. Other enighborhoods are thriving because of better public transportation. I would ride MAx if it were available. I used Max 4 days a week when I lived in Hollywood District.

Name: Jeff Matson on Mar 5, 2007Comments: I fully support this integral link within the MAX infrastructure. This is a crucial travel corridor (Portland to Milwaukie via Westmoreland) and this particular MAX line will lessen the traffic on Highway 99 as well as surface streets, where more indivduals are seeking "cut-through" commute routes. Thanks! Jeff Matson

Name: Chris Souder on Apr 4, 2007Comments: I too support the Portland to Milwaukie MAX link. When moving from the suburbs to Sellwood a few years ago, I fantasized about leaving the car in the driveway in favor of public transportation. Unfortunately, it remains a fantasy as bus schedules & transit times are not always efficient & convenient as is on a light rail system. I would gladly opt to ride MAX rather than negotiate traffic and deal with parking in the downtown area...especially at $3.00+/gallon. A SE connection is past due!

Name: Diana Yates on Apr 10, 2007Comments: With the termination of bus service on the Sellwood Bridge, the re-routing of the eastside MAX line to the I-205 corridor is all the more distressing. A 5-mile trip downtown from an established neighborhood such as Sellwood should not require half an hour and a bus transfer!

Name: Stephanie Holton on Apr 11, 2007Comments: Westmoreland/Sellwood/Milwaukie is long overdue for a MAX line in our community. As traffic ncreases we need more options for transportation to downtown Portland. Personally, I do not drive at all. Due to fuel cost Tri-met service has diminished over the last 2 years. The line 41 is not used because it does not run often enought and only ; services a small pocket of the community. Please act upon this petition. Tthank you.

Name: Chris Teig on Sep 3, 2007Comments: Traffic congestion has steadily gotten worse in SE Portland. Commute options are very limited for workers in the SE part of Portland. If I had the option of Max I could take the train all the way out to Beaverton daily versus driving that distance alone every day and contributing to congestion and pollution.

Imagine: water level at flood stage and three floating homes heading straight toward that new bridge. What of the Rose Festival sailing vessels as well - the mast heights of the Lady Washington and the Hawaiian Cheiftain are 87 ft and 75 ft respect. The lawyers are gearing up for those sailors who cannot pass under with their sailboat. Think people think about this!
