It is time for the Port Hope Area Initiative to be accountable to the people they are supposed to protect, it is time for NRCan to listen to our elected representatives, it is time for them to make the citizens of Port Hope their priority and I believe if we stand together as a community with the support our of mayor and council, we can make a difference. Let’s place the blame where it belongs, put the past behind us and start building a better future. Please sign this petition in support of Port Hope Town council and the original intent of the PVP agreement: PHAI-MO will be held accountable to the legal agreement so that Port Hope property owners will not suffer financial losses realized on the sale, rental or re-mortgaging of their property as a result of general or site-specific effects of the PHAI.
