Los abajo firmantes solicitamos la intervención urgente de su persona
en el caso de las señora Reyna Luisa Tamayo Danger, Dama de Blanco y
madre del fallecido Orlando Zapata Tamayo, que esta denunciado de
forma reiterada ante los pocos medios de comunicación que han prestado
atención al asunto y a través de la prensa independiente en Cuba;
estar siendo acosada de manera incesante por militares y civiles sin
identificar que rodean su casa día y noche. Ante la pasividad y
complicidad de las autoridades locales y dada la actitud agresiva de
los acosadores, tememos por su vida y por la de sus familiares
allegados.
Solicitamos pues que interponga sus buenos oficios y caridad
cristiana, como ya hizo en el caso de las Damas de Blanco que rezan en
la Iglesia de Santa Rita, en Ciudad de la Habana, a fin de evitar que
la familia Zapata Tamayo pueda sufrir un daño irreparable a manos de
estas turbas Paramilitares.

We the undersigned ask for your urgent intervention on behalf of Mrs.
Reina Luisa Tamayo Dánger, Lady in White and mother of the late
Orlando Zapata Tamayo. She has constantly denounced, to the very few
foreign media that have taken an interest in her case and through the
Cuban independent press, being relentlessly harassed by unidentified
civilian and military personnel that surround her house day and
night. Faced with the passivity and complicity of the local
authorities and the aggressiveness of the mob, we fear for her life
and that of her closest relatives.
We ask you to use your skills and Christian compassion to intercede
on
her behalf, as you did before in the case of the Ladies in White —who
worship at Santa Rita’s Church in La Habana— to avoid any irreparable
damage that the Zapata Tamayo family could suffer at the hands of
this
paramilitary mob.
