Name: Amy Combellack on Jan 20, 2007Comments: I have a 3 month old daughter and want a school within walking distance as don't want to have to drive her to school each day in the future. An area of this size deserves a school. The land has been allocated. We want where we live to have a sense of community here and a school is part of that.Flag

Name: HELEN SANTOCHIRICO on Jan 21, 2007Comments: Pontprennau has a lot of excellent pre-school groups that build a whole sense of community but this will vanish if there is no school built to continue fostering the community spirit of the area as a whole.Flag

Name: Mrs Janet Greenwood on Jan 21, 2007Comments: We have waited long enough for a school in Pontprennau. Without this major local facility there is little to engender a proper Community spirit and people will continue to move to other areas.Flag

Name: Councillor T.H.Davies on Jan 23, 2007Comments: The decision of Council was clear in that Council decided a school must be built in Pontprennau. This Lib/Dem administration is ignoring a decision of Council and is using pathetic excusses not to satisfy the obvious needs of the areaFlag

Name: Margaret Roussel on Jan 23, 2007Comments: A school is the core of a Community. Educating children locally enhances the holistic social and cultural development of families where parentsof children unite and develop long lasting friendship. How many of us adults have long lasting friends whom we met as children, and as adults, met every day through our own children at the school gate. Pontprennau parents and children will not have that opportunity of gaining close friends and building upon the social development of Pontrennau. Children should be able to walk around the corner with their friends to their school, and meet at each others homes after school, not be transported to a variety of schools in a wide geographical area where it would be difficult to maintain close links and friendship. This is all about growing up in your locality. A community life. Without a school families have chosen to move away from the area fragmenting one of the best places to live in Cardiff. We want families to stay in Pontprennau so give us a school or we will end up with a community without children. .Flag

Name: Ian McAllister on Jul 3, 2007Comments: I am amazed that yet again, the residents of Pontprennau are excluded from becoming a full community through the council failing to confirm the plans for building a school in Pontprennau, let alone a date for opening. I can't see how the council have either a plan for Pontprennau, let alone an environmental policy which creates such council sanctioned polutionFlag
