Name: Kirsty McQuire on May 2, 2009Comments: Please listen to the voices of local people, as they are the life blood of the area. Hackney is treading a fine line between preserving its history and heralding the march of progress and therefore every case ought to be considered on its idiosyncratic merits in the hope of retaining the identity of the borough.Flag

Name: Anonymous on May 16, 2009Comments: I am appalled at the recent boarding up of Pond House, one of the only Georgian buildings to still exist in Clapton. I hope the Council will firmly reject the application that obviously compromises the integrity of the site as motivated by the developers concern for profit above our built environment.Flag

Name: Corinna MacEwan on May 17, 2009Comments: As a resident of mildenhall rd with an awareness of the local community and its needs and potential I believe the proposed development would have a considerable negative impact on, not only the site itself, but also the appearance and use of the recently developed and now very lovely clapton pond. Further, I believe that Pond House, as it stands, has sufficient potential to be successfully managed in a way which could greatly benefit the community, other visitors and the owners.Flag
