Name: Melanie Esser on May 6, 2008Comments: I am proudly owned by 3 pugs. All who love to have a place to run and play with other dogs. We currently have to drive 15 minutes into another community to enjoy the fun of a dog park. It sure would be nice to have one in my own neighborhood.Flag

Name: Sue Fejes on May 6, 2008Comments: As taxpaying residents of Pompano Beach we deserve a centrally located dog park. It is the City's responsibility to provide its residents with opportunities for leisure services such as ball diamonds, swimming pools, tennis courts, etc. and a dog park should be included in this group. The other large cities in Broward have acknowledged the demand for dog parks, and it is now time for Pompano Beach to step up and address the needs of its dog loving residents.Flag

Name: Anonymous on May 6, 2008Comments: I live in Pompano Beach (14th Ave.) and having owned dogs for many years and had the opportunity to spend countless days in dog parks, this sort of park is a wonderful experience for residents of the area. It brings people together in the warmest and friendliest of situations and gives members a sense of community. It is wonderful and it shows that Pompano is progressive and cares about its citizens. Way to go Pompano!Flag

Name: Derek Lawler on May 7, 2008Comments: Dog owners need a space where they can have their dog mix with other dogs. A dog that can mingle peacefully with other dogs and people a couple of times a week will, I predict, become more compliant at home and on walks. Too many dogs are restricted to living in a fenced yard that does not allow the full range of experience an intelligent animal deserves. New smells, vegetation, topography etc. can round out a dog's personality and make him an all round better pet.Flag

Name: Judy Polivy on May 7, 2008Comments: This is a very needed and desired park for dogs of Pompano. The City of Pompano should recognize this effort as a way to get dogs to come to one area and not go on individual streets of the city. This should definietly be passed.Flag
