We the Canadian people, are TIRED of the endless year-round campaigning we are beginning to see in Canada. We are TIRED of the telemarketing. The smear-jobs. The invisible Candidates. We are tired of calls telling us to vote at the wrong polling station. We are TIRED of ads attacking other politicians. We are TIRED of big money governing the outcome of elections. We are TIRED of the tax-payer funded mailers filling our mailboxes. We demand our elected officials declare an END to political advertising outside of the 30-40 day writ periods. We demand an END to out of control telemarketing, and tight controls over election communications DURING the writ periods - especially in light of the potential fraud committed by one of the parties in recent elections. It is time for a level playing field in Canadian elections, and one party should NOT win simply because it can spend more money, and place more ads. We the Canadian people should not be subjected to such immoral and illegal campaigns. We the Canadian people demand better... We deserve better.
