Anonymous | My family and I are totally against this and plan to move back to NJ b/c if we have to add this cost to the commute we might as well live over the DWG.
Anonymous | Implementing tolls on I-80 will be detrimental towards businesses. There are other initiatives that can be undertaken to generate revenue for infastructure repairs. One example I have is to increase the toll fare for trucks entering PA on I-80. Since the weight on trucks create a significant impact on road paymnents, trucks should be charged substantially more that regular vehicles.
| 203 | Olivette Taylor | I would personally love to receive better transportation options and infrastructure put into place. I commute every day at an astronomical cost and inconvenience.
A tax credit for commuters can be considered. |
robert p. krason | our gasoline consumption is already taxed to pay for any federal roads neading repairs. we citizens of the us are already paying enough taxes and extremely high cost to run our cars. lets lift some of the burden of living and forget about any thoughts of tolling i-80. this highway was not ment to be tolled. its just like incorporating ss monies into the general funds by johnson which rosevelt never ment it to be.

Ed Kmetz | Ridiculous! Not only do we need to give locals a break, our businesses need the traffic, which will not be here as soon as cars & trucks begin to reroute to avoid the area.

Keith C. Edwards | It's a disgrace to think of putting tolls on I-80. What are you going to name the highway, THE FAT CHANCE?

Jon Sollenberger | I think the state should use the gambling revenue for fixing roads and funding SEPTA, since they are not using it to lower property taxes. Governor Rendell brags how well the gambling taxes are doing for the state.
Sean McGrath | The money citizens pay in gas taxes and registration fees MUST go for road/bridge repair and maintenance instead of pork barrel projects. Currently about $600 to $700 million of that money goes to non road projects each year. Spend all of the money for the purpose for which it is intended and maybe we wouldn't be in this predicament.
Carolyn Waugh-Tandy | DO NOT PUT TOLLS ON ROUTE 80!!!!!!!!
Marc Littleton | I am 100% against the legislation to implement tolls on I-80 and request that this plan be dropped immediately. This is just wrong for the people!
Anonymous | An accounting/audit of taxes collected and where those monies or funds were spent needs to be done
James Archer | I am VEHEMENTLY opposed to the the tolling of public roads, already paid for with public money! I will likewise use my vote accordingly

Anonymous | It is getting worse and worse every year. Its like a trap. Spending so much time commuting and have to pay more and more for it. Soon i will have to go back to NYC and rent a walk-in closet. When you add all your time, tolls, gas and pain in a neck...does it really worth it?

robert p. krason | please give the poor tax payer a break by not taxing rt. 80. rt 80 is a route i use frequently and with the exorbant increase in food and gas cost it will be another means of decreasing what little discresionary income we have left. thanks

Anonymous | We pay enough with gas prices and food costs going up how can we afford one more thing?!

Anonymous | The traffic is bad enough with the one toll both now. the 380 - 80 will be a nightmare especially on the weekends.
Thomas Molessa | If there are tolls on I-80 I would definitely have to take the local roads...
Anonymous |
| 242 | Paul Zellner | We paid for the construction of interstate 80, and we pay via taxes every year to maintain it.
Why are we now paying to use a road that we own? |
Larry Massaia |
Angela Montgomery |
Christine Smith | I feel that if the tolls were put in place the revenue wouldn't be used for repairs. They would find something else, not a necessity, to use it for
Jill Hahn | We have been a commuter family for 18 years there must be another way to fund the improvement of the highways and bridges. With the economy in such sad shape it is hard enough on commuter familes. Have you seen the gas prices? In addition to the high food costs etc. Please stop the TOLLS. We don't need any more hardships in raising our family and enjoying our quality of life as much as we can. Also everyone get out and VOTE. This current administration has alot to do with the existing problems the feds could help fix our roads. OBAMA , OBAMA, OBAMA!!!!!!!!!!!!!
