Petition to get LandWare to produce an iPhone version of Pocket Quicken LandWare, Inc. of Oradell, New Jersey, USA produces Pocket Quicken a personal finance application for smart phones and PDAs. Currently Pocket Quicken runs only on the following platforms: Palm, Windows Mobile Smartphone and Windows Mobile 5/6 Pocket PC There is no Pocket Quicken application for the Apple iPhone. From the LandWare web site: "Pocket Quicken configures itself to best suit your needs. If you want to use Pocket Quicken as a stand alone finance application it can instantly set up a standard set of categories, currencies and accounts with a single button tap and begin to operate as your sole finance manager. If instead you have Quicken running on your Macintosh or Windows computer, then it becomes a true mobile companion and provides excellent connectivity via the built-in Synchronization technology. Transferring data is quick and hassle free: just press the Sync button. Pocket Quicken makes it easy to keep your finances organized, and is the only handheld solution to sync with Quicken 2005, 2006, 2007, 2008 and 2009." Some currently available "checkbook/financial" apps for the iPhone support exporting and importing data in .qif format, but, none allow a true "one touch" synchronization of the iPhone app and the desktop version of Quicken. Intuit makes an iPhone app that only connects to its "Quicken Online" service, a service that many are unwilling to use as it is slower than desktop Quicken and involves putting all of your financial information on a web site. So, at this time there are no solutions equivalent to Pocket Quicken for the iPhone. Apple has sold more that 37 million iPhones and iPod Touchs (a related device that can run many of the same apps), including more than 1 million of the iPhone 3G S in the first 3 days after its introduction in June 2009. As such, there is a large potential market for an iPhone version of Pocket Quicken. Please sign the petition below to ask LandWare to produce an iPhone version of Pocket Quicken. Thank you!
