Metered billing is an attempt to prevent bandwidth from running out, or reaching a so called "Unmanagable Bandwidth Crisis" - At&t.

This company is not the only one. There are several others with established limits and test trials. The trials are ranging from 20-250gb per month depending on your speed package, the faster the higher they are generally. What happens when you have a large family that owns 2 or 3 PC's, but can only afford the smallest package. A family that continuously runs out of bandwidth is what. These companies are also creating "exclusions" from your limit i.e. If you buy their VoIP/Television service it doesn't count against your limit, but if you order and/or use say Vonage, MagicJack, Hulu, Netflix or Youtube and many others, It WILL. Do you want your Internet Service Proivider to tell you how many episodes of CSI you can watch in a given month, or how many Phone calls you can make with your Vonage Phone service despite their calling plans?  If not then consider signing this petition. Together we may be able to convince them that metered billing is not the proper way to approach an alleged bandwidth shortage. Besides, would you rather not PREVENT this change before it occurs?
