Greece has been handling 90% of Europe's refugee flows. At the same time, in Greece, 99.96% of asylum claims are rejected. So Europe has no refuge today! Asylum seekers do not have access to the asylum procedure, and even if they do manage to apply for asylum, Greece is not in a position to guarantee their rights and offer them reception conditions, according to International, European and also national laws. The vast majority of them lives in inhuman and degrading conditions, something that is forbidden by conventions and laws and should not be happening in a European country. If asylum seekers succeed in fleeing Greece to another EU country, other member states send them back to Greece, where they know that asylum seekers are in danger.
