Name: Vonda Oneil on Sep 13, 2007Comments: I don't know whose going to read this, if anyone, or if I'm wasting my time, but this is complete and utterly revolting, saddening and being a LONGTIME "Zeppelin" fan, I cannot make a show in "London" the price alone for passports, airfare and even a chance at getting two tickets, I do have a spouse, is well...just IMPOSSIBLE. To at least air this as said on PPV, a live internet stream, radio simulcast, DVD, or all means possible would bring millioins more dollars or pounds for Ahmets Charity. I am on an internet newsgroup DEVOTED TO LED ZEPPELIN, and for the most part. Few if any are able to attend this event and I know all of us would sell everything we owned to have a chance to just SEE/HEAR this event. I'm only speaking of the Zep fans, there are fans just as fannatic as we are, for all the others who are performing, who would buy up everything as well. I mean geez, we have all bought each and every Zep legit release at least 5 times over, in every format. Does that not mean ANYTHING I know and we all know, this is NOT about the fans per se, but paying homage to Ahmet Ertegun etc...UNFORTUNATELY THO, the knowledge that LED freakin ZEPPELIN are performing, almost overshadows what the event is about. It shouldn't, but surely someone recognizes this fact. We have waited YEARS and YEARS for something of this magnitude and now here it is, and we get NOTHING. This is HISTORY, this IS the DEMAND UNPRECEDENTED. LEGIONS of fans everywhere have united ONLINE and elsewhere, this is all the talk. I beg, plead to whomever, PLEASE put this out for the rest of us unlucky diehard fans. WE NEED THIS FOR CLOSURE, as we realize this is the end of Led Zeppelin per se. We know it really isn't LZ, but for us, it's as close as it's going to get. They won't play together again. This is the sentiment world wide and the entire legion of Zeppelin fans won't even fit into that 02 arena anyway, so why not broadcast it, make a few more million for the charity and give the rest of us some much needed closure and emotional fulfillment. Fingers Crossed. Please consider this and give ample warning. Not everyone has cable, internet etc..so a DVD of course should be in store ;-) Still I am overjoyed this is taking place. Vastly greater sums can be raised by allowing the rest of us to watch, be it broadcast, webcast, pay-per-view, whatever.
