His Excellency Benigno Simeon Aquino III Malacanang Palace Manila, Philippines Email address: titonoy@president.gov.ph; op@president.gov.ph Dear Mr. President: Further bloodshed in Sabah has to stop immediately. In behalf of the people of Sabah, especially the hundreds of Filipinos there, we respectfully submit to you the following requests: 1. Request the Malaysian Government to respect the ceasefire advised by the United Nations Secretary-General Ban Ki-Moon and the unilateral declaration of the Sultan of Sulu for a ceasefire; 2. Request the Malaysian Government to allow the Philippine Government, the United Nations, and the other International Organizations to extend humanitarian assistance to the people in Lahad Datu, Sabah including the followers of the Sultan of Sulu; 3. Request the Malaysian Government, the United Nations and the Sultan of Sulu with the Philippine Government for a dialogue to resolve this standoff and the fate of the remaining followers of the Sultan of Sulu. The author of this petition is Atty. Abdullah Mamao, a former assemblyman from Mindanao. It will be posted online by Greg Mariano, Jr., a Fil/Am dual citizen from Pennsylvania, USA. Respectfully yours, The online signatories.
