We are changing the social norms of our community and returning to the traditional use of tobacco by saying "NO!" to commercial tobacco!

Our goal is to change the commercial tobacco use policy at the Twin Cities American Indian work sites to include parking lots, grounds, and sidewalks.**
We fully support traditional tobacco use.

One of the biggest challenges in the American Indian community is secondhand smoke by the doorways, sidewalks, and around community events. Secondhand smoke exposure can cause cancer, heart disease, and other health problems.* Secondhand smoke also contains the same carcinogenic/toxic chemicals as the person who is smoking.*

You can help us protect you and your loved ones from secondhand smoke by signing this petition for us Mashkiki Ogichidaag “Medicine Warriors” Youth Program. You can show your support to these worksites
(i.e. board of directors, employees, and the community members they serve) to help change social norms of our community and returning to the traditional use of tobacco by saying "NO!" to commercial tobacco.

You can change a policy but it takes a community to create the change.
