Dear Governors Cuomo and Christie,


We the undersigned are members of the biomedical research community.


We range from doctoral degree holders (MD and PhD) to those with bachelors degrees in the biological sciences.


We write to you to express our continual support for the NY and NJ mandatory quarantine orders. We believe that calls for it to end are political in nature and reflect a secondary prioritization of the scientific facts available to us on EVD.

We believe that any hindrance of aid to West Africa caused by these quarantines can be mitigated by other measures if Doctors Without Borders and other involved entities show interest in negotiating with the federal and state governments.


We the undersigned encourage you to work with Doctors Without Borders (or other relevant entities) in order to help them attain more material and personnel support in order to combat EVD overseas.
