Afrik Lounge Radio (Denver, Co) has teamed up with The Africa Channel to encourage our cable provider 'Comcast' Cable' in the Denver Metro Area into bringing 'The Africa Channel' to our Comcast Lineup in this Region. There will be no additional fee to your Comcast bill.

The Africa Channel provides-

• Culturally-relevant TV programming about Africa and the
African Diaspora packaged for diverse audiences.

• Multiple program genres: News, Business, Travel, Lifestyle, Drama, Sports, Movies, Talk...and much more.

The Africa Channel, a cable television network showcasing the rich and diverse perspectives of the people of Africa. The Channel launched with more than 1,600 hours of original and first-run English-language programming, ranging from news, music, feature films, reality, talk and event specials to soaps, travel, lifestyle and documentaries - many of them among the top-rated and longest-running series in Africa. Virtually none of these programs have been available to viewers in the U.S. until now.

Current Cities that have The Africa Channel include: New York, Los Angeles, Atlanta, Chicago, San Francisco, Detroit, Houston, Washington DC, Miami, New Orleans, Ft. Worth (TX), Hampton Roads (VA), Memphis (TN), Macon (GA) and Lafayette (LA) among others. Recent expansion includes the suburban communities and outer-lying areas of Chicago, Detroit and the Washington DC/Maryland beltway.

The Network’s premiere on September 1, 2005 marked a milestone in U.S. television history. For the first time, American audiences were able to experience the daily successes, celebrations and challenges of people living throughout Africa, all via a general entertainment network. The Africa Channel is broadcast in the United States through national distribution deals with the four largest cable MSOs in the country: Comcast, Time Warner, Cox and Charter, as well as other cable systems. The Channel’s rapid growth and expansion now includes programming about not only the continent, but also the influence of African culture throughout the Diaspora. The network recently opened bureaus in Kampala, Uganda and Accra, Ghana; and is now available to viewers in the Antigua, Bahamas, Trinidad and Tobago, St. Lucia, Jamaica, Barbados, Bermuda, Grenada, St. Maarten and Curacao.
