Petition to Judge T.S. Ellis III

This petition is addressed to Judge T.S. Ellis III, asking him to be lenient when sentencing my Uncle Osman Yusuf on August 10th 2012. My Uncle has been in detention since June 1st 2012.
He is charged with money laundering under the money transfer agency (Dahabshil, inc.) located in Falls Church, VA; where he was an agent and the main contact person.
Officials believe he is involved in this conspiracy because of his position at the agency. But in reality he was unaware of the transfers asserted by prosecutors regarding this case.
My uncle, Osman Yusuf, is a person of good moral character. I realize this might seem hard to believe, given the circumstances, but it’s true nonetheless. Most people in the Somali community have come to love his warm and welcoming character in dealing with them in the quickest and most efficient way.
