Since the new DmC trailer was released gamers around the world, even former capcom developers such as Kamiya-San are very disappointed and as you can see there is a lot of animosity against this new title. Most of this anger is because the tone, look, and feel of the series is very different from the originals. Nearly all of the anger is directed to the New Dante's character design. It actually looks like the art director is self inserting himself into the game. Plus, why have a new design when the original Dante is in Marvel vs Capcom 3? Many fans of the series see no need to reboot the series in the first place, due to the series not even being a full decade old yet. Heck, to be honest I couldn't even tell this was Devil May Cry until the character revealed that he was Dante. If you would Title the game something different it would be a better situation. Really I'm not worried about the designs, I'm more worried of the gameplay. I think it might differ from the others in the series because of the new sword Dante has. It looks like it might play like the Chains of Olympus from God of War. Honestly I would consider Kamiya doing the next Devil May Cry game because we honestly don't need anymore shovel ware of God of War converted for other consoles. Seeing as how you guys really care for the fans you should really consider going to Platinum Games and having them do this next title.
