Name: Laurie Rezanoff on Jun 28, 2007Comments: I had no idea AP Recycling / Bottle Depot existed & that there was a place for people to go who live in condos to recycle their plastics! I was part of the group who helped to get the green recycling bins into Calgary 17 years ago - I am so happy to hear that people are pushing the CIty even further - they are not exactly eager to embrace this programme like it needs to be - for whatever the reason. I want to send a petition around myself - email me the details please so I can help out.Flag

Name: Wendy Aikins on Jun 29, 2007Comments: It is no less than shameful that Calgary has such limited resources for recycling - curbside pickup only works for a small part of the population -- I currently take my plastics to Banff as they take styrofoam and hard plastic food containers -- think about it Banff is better equipped than Calgary......it is a disgrace.Flag

Name: Logan Fidler on Jun 29, 2007Comments: On account of the startling waste production that has defined this age for so long, it's deplorable that a government would decline such a valuable public means of recycling plastic, that wonderful product that will never biodegrade. Please, act on this.Flag

Name: Jeff Flood on Jun 29, 2007Comments: People may not know that Alberta is one of the continent's largest producers of polyethylene -- the Nova Chemicals plant at Joffre, outside Red Deer. it just makes sense that Alberta's largest city would pay special attention to recycling plastics that get produced here.Flag

Name: Helen Lee Robertson on Jul 17, 2007Comments: The use of plastics is endemic and while I try to minimize getting plastic items, it cannot be avoided. Until I learned about AP, I hoarded plastic recyclables to return in Canmore or other communities that offer publicly available plastics recycling. Curbside recycling is not an option for many of us and we need to have a facility like AP.Flag
