    Comments: This is an excellent petition to support. A Statutory Duty for Play may help to increase the number of children able to access all types of play via safe quality play provision. It may also bring the role of Playwork and Playworkers into the spotlight and perhaps increase the value of play and playwork in a world were places to play freely are being used less and less.

    Comments: I am delighted to support this. A Statutory Duty for Play is long overdue and the longer term benefits for children, their families and wider communities already proven. It will also enhance an understanding of play as intrinsically valuable as a childhood process beyond the perspective of children's rights and an educational tool.
