Name: Anonymous on Jun 27, 2007Comments: I want to see this film as it was originally intended to be seen by the DIRECTOR AND WRITER. I have little to no interest in seeing what some other crew member thinks I should see. I want to see the vision of the actual creative force behind the movie. Let's face it, historically speaking, the majority of films that are re-released as the preferred edit of the director are received far better than the original versions. Hell, just to cite a few examples, Blade Runner, Dances With Wolves, Miami Vice, Almost Famous, etc. And, the market can easily support multiple versions of the same film. They can be packaged together (ala Dawn of the Dead with it's 4 disc ultimate edition that contains 3 different versions of the same film), or even separately (ala Exorcist the Beginning/Dominion: Prequel to the Exorcist).Flag

Name: Daemeon Black on Jun 28, 2007Comments: I personally feel this was wrong of the studio to do. This mere act of excluding those involved in the making of the movie and turning it over to corporate individuals to re-cut the movie and completely ruin the original intent of their efforts is criminal. Please do not let this kind of travesty happen again to ruin the hard work of the director and actors involved in the creation of their labor of love, the movies.Flag

I implore Screen Gems to be true to its name and let Hal Masonberg's gem hit the screen as it was conceived and intended by the artist himself.Flag

Name: Anonymous on Jun 29, 2007Comments: This is a prime example of Hollywood producers having absolutely no right to fuck with creative just because they can. Just do your job and let those who do what they do well alone. This movie started out so impressive - it was obvious that two separate mindsets worked on it, and a damn shame that it was ruined, because it was very impressive until the guns were added to the storyline. That imediately took away the scare factor. Come on, Screen Gems, I'd like to see the real film. Pretty pleaseFlag

Name: Richard Hole on Jun 29, 2007Comments: Producers stop messing with the visions of the director. They obviously have no love for the film or genre. It's like when fat women wear leggins/lycra, they can't have looked in the mirror and say 'damn i look good'. no one wants to see it!! Leave it alone unless you're collaborating with the director.Flag
