THE PLAGUE: WRITERS & DIRECTOR'S CUT: It is our hope that this version of the film -which is based on original material and represents years of hard work, commitment, and passion on the part of both Co-Writer/Director Hal Masonberg and Co-Writer Teal Minton, as well as the work, enthusiasm, and deep desire of much of the talent involved with the making of this film- be officially released to DVD and Blu-ray on its own or as a companion piece to the "producer's cut" of the film currently available on DVD under the title, CLIVE BARKER'S THE PLAGUE.

The film -which took Hal Masonberg and Teal Minton eight (8) years to get off the ground- was taken away from them in post production and recut from scratch by the producers. The version currently available on dvd does not in any way represent the director's or writers' vision, work, or intent. The same is true for many of the film's outspoken cast members.

It is our hope that this petition will show the film's current distributor, Screen Gems, that there is indeed an audience for the WRITERS & DIRECTOR'S CUT of the film.
