    Comments: Hi, I applaud your words...yes, your correct, unfortunately pit bulls do have a bad rep. because of the bad owners they have. Humans are to blame, well unkind humans are. Animals breed in good environments are better animals. I have friends in Fairfield county who have pits, 5 and 7yrs old respectively and those dogs are GREAT with kids, people other dogs, etc. Socialization and a good family upbringing is KEY!!!

    Comments: Pitbulls are wonderful dogs. I have 2 and they wouldn't hurt anybody. We just need to pass tougher laws to determine who can own a pitbull. I'm all for a registry like sex offenders have. I'm willing to pay for a permit. I will NOT let them take my two dogs and kill them because of their breed.

    Comments: we are a race of creatures quick to judge other creatures action but to forget our own actions. in other words we have ten pit bull attacks in a year we almost forget about all the murders humans have comittid ovr that same period of time. if there going to judge a pit bull merly for being a pit bull than lets judge humans for being humans in the same way.

When the pitbull is gone the people who cause the problems will move on to another breed and then you will have to ban that breed too. Where does it stop Enforce current laws and make punishment severe for those who abuse our dogs and our rights.

    Comments: i have five pitbulls that run loose in my yard together all day long. i have neighbors right on top of me and they have never had problems with my dogs. they show no aggression to people or other animals. thats how i raised them, a take them to dog shows and associate them with other people and animals. they are my life outside of work. i think that what needs be targeted are those with dogs mistreated,malnurished, and on chain. this is what causes the problems and that goes for dogs/animals of all breeds. dont target us that love and spend the most of our time with our animals. pitbulls are the smartest most loyal dog on the planet,everyone should own one,in my opinion.
