The petition

Pirate Cat was recently captured off the coast of Spain. He was extradited immediately and imprisoned at Belmarsh maximum security prison.

The imprisonment relates to the recent surge of piracy that has sparked fear along the worlds vast shipping routes. It is alleged that Pirate Cat is, along with crew, responsible for the hijacking of a super tanker just off the coast of southern India that was bound for Europe. The hijacking resulted in the disappearance of the ships cargo and the deaths of the ships 77 migrant crew members. The stolen cargo 14 tons of cat litter, has never been recovered, although Police believe it to be buried on an island somewhere off the coast of Argentina. Pirate Cat strongly denies these allegations.

Pirate Cat has been imprisoned indefinitely without a fair hearing or trial. We live in a society where you are innocent until proved guilty. To this day there is little evidence (no more than paw marks) linking Pirate Cat - or any feline to the scene of the crime. It could quite easily have been a dog. It is common knowledge that his imprisonment is politically based, due to his growing influence in the middle east.

It appears that the Home Secretary intends to sweep Pirate Cat under the rug and leave him in solitary confinement for the rest of his life. I for one will not let this happen, we must fight for him.
