Comments: It truly is a shame to have a city like Miami and still have nowhere to fish, hopefully this will help restore a special access to one of the resources that makes Miami so special, the ocean and it's fish....

Comments: I find it rediculous that Miami-Dade county does not have a public pier! I know tourism brings in the bulk of the money but I'm sure fisherman also play a big part.

Comments: The newport fishing pier (in North Miami Beach) and the pier right off 125th street and north bayshore drive in (North miami) have been closed since Hurricane katrina and wilma passed through the miami area, and no signs of repairing these landmarks has been left.
