Why should hardworking individuals be without a job over a few pennies Why go with inexperienced and the unknown, TRIED AND TRUE let us keep OUR citizens employed. Keep US Airways and Piedmont in IPTFlag

Our area is a great attraction to many throughout the year including Little League Baseball, hunting, fishing, not to mention the people that travel in and out of Williamsport on business. It would be very disappointing to lose US Airways.Flag

Name: William Yaggi on Aug 19, 2008Comments: I have worked for Piedmont Airlines and was based in Williamsport. Knowing the service and employees makes me partial to keeping Piedmont. Since I know this, I can say how dedicated these employees are, and the service they provide. Changing a carrier now is only that. Hard working local people could loose their jobs with a negative impact on the local economy and their lives. Please consider this in your decision. Sincerely, William YaggiFlag

Name: Kenneth W. Oden on Aug 19, 2008Comments: We have several groups of people flying into Williamsport to my lodge in Potter County every year for hunting, fishing, corporate and personal retreats. These groups tend to be from 12 to 18 people and we have been traveling from Tampa, Florida for over a decade. The flights to and from Tampa and Williamsport are most easily connected through USAir and Philadelphia. It would constitute a great hardship to switch from Philadelphia to either Washington or Detroit, therefore please submit my vote for USAir. Also my wife Janet, son Kevin and his two children Ryan and Grant travel via USAir from Tampa regularly as well and we are frequent fliers. We always travel in the spring, Memorial Day, Fourth of July, Labor Day, Fall October leaf season, Thanksgiving and Christmas. Each of us travel at least four to six times per year. You may ask any service person from USAir, and 90% of them will know us by name and can attest to my flight activity by simply mentioning my dogs name "Gunner," who flew regularly with us before old age set in. By the way, as an aside this group of USAir people are extraordinarily friendly and helpful and they all are a pleasure to work with over the years. It's always a positive to deal with people who we recognize, and who also recognize us and have an interest in our well being. Longevity is commonplace with this USAir group which is a testament to how USAir treats it's employees which ultimately reflects on the Williamsport Airport and community. I could share many stories of their helpfulness, but suffice it to say they are all fine individuals and are a credit to the airport and to Williamsport overall. I also rent a car space in the parking lot on a yearly basis, again testifying to our frequent trips to Williamsport, as well as rental cars for the retreat groups. If Washington or Detroit were selected we would need to fly into and out of State College instead of Williamsport. We hope this will not be necessary as it's another 15 minutes of travel time for us, and we would need to establish new State College vendors and establish new buying habits. We currently purchase all our provisions and Christmas gifts in Williamsport. Examples, Tony's Deli, Wegmanns, Willard's, Montour Beverage, Lowes, Pet Shop, Gander Mt, Sams, Norge Cleaners, the Mall and various restaurants, etc, etc, etc. In other words tens of thousands of additional dollars would be lost to the Williamsport market if USAir was not the successful carrier. Please feel free to contact us if needed. Yours Truly, Ken Oden 941-795-8125 570-923-0335 62 Tidy Island Blvd. Tampa, Fl 34210 and Folded Hills Lodge 951 Ole Bull Road Cross Fork, Pa. 17729Flag
