Support for Picket Mead development, Newton
I feel the new proposal at Picket Mead should be granted planning permission because of the following reasons:
• No development is taking place on the common
• There will be no long term impact upon the common
• It is development within the settlement limits
• The development is wholly within the grounds Picket Mead House
• The trees are to be kept in and around the site
• Neighbours have been constantly consulted and considered in the designs
• The proposed houses look to have been carefully designed to accord with the existing properties within the Conservation Area
• The development will boost the local community
• Offers a good relationship to the surrounding areas, including the common
• The designs are of a very high standard and architectural merit
• The development wouldn't pose any issues relating to access
