Name: Sam Clough on Jan 26, 2013Comments: I am 100% in agreement with this. It is not right that Ravensbourne have withdrawn the right to reserve a permanent photography studio for a their BA digital photography students. Being a graduate on the Editing & Post Production it is unfair that we had access to around 250K's worth of equipment in a self-contained space, and other courses have to put up with constant room changes, and lack of equipment.Flag

Name: Adam Clements on Jan 27, 2013Comments: (Current Animation student at Rave) I like the 'hot-desk' style at Rave on the whole, but I think some course-specific space (especially for certain courses where production goes beyond just sitting at a computer) is important - and incidentally an animation Studio would be a lovely idea too!Flag

Name: Dan Flanders on Jan 28, 2013Comments: Don't get me wrong, I'm all for collaborative and flexible workspaces, but a photography studio really should have a permanent position for the course. All other courses that require specific equipment have their own spaces, so why not photography?Flag

Name: Robin Mitchell on Jan 31, 2013Comments: I studied photography at Newport and while I have very little experience of studio photography, I sympathise entirely with the students at Ravensbourne. It was hugely important for me and my fellow students to gain experience of working in the studio and it is extremely important in terms of work opportunities for students to leave college feeling confident and comfortable with working in this way. Without studio experience your opportunities are very limited and your creativity is channelled in down a relatively narrow route. Ravensbourne - please offer your students a fair deal!Flag

I do not accept that my daughter and all the other photography students are being limited to what they need to achieve. Please help the students get their money's worth.Flag
